Abstract

Background: Memorizing the Qur'an is one form of interaction between Muslims and the Qur'an that has been going on for generations since the Qur'an first came down to the Prophet Muhammad SAW. until now and in the future. In learning and memorizing the Qur'an, of course, there are special learning methods in application to early childhood, as well as special methods of memorization in learning the Qur'an for early childhood who cannot read and write, namely Talaqqi. The purpose of research in this article is to describe the number of memorization verses mastered by each child studied and reveal how their experience in memorizing the Quran with the talaqqi method, as well as reveal the reasons that support the achievement of memorization of Quran verses in children. Methods: The research design conducted in this article is qualitative descriptive research. Results: The increase in memorization in boys reached 47.7% while in girls it reached 58.5%. Conclucions: The memorization program with the talaqqi method can increase children's interest and love for the Quran as well as love for the process of memorizing the Quran.
